All aspects of the conservation and
restoration of antique gilded furniture and frames are undertaken. In
many cases later gilding (or even gold paint) has been applied and it is
often possible to remove these layers and reveal the earlier surfaces.
Any repairs needed are then carefully matched to the bole colour and the
gold used when the item was first made.
Where necessary carving or composition
ornament can also be repaired and matched in colour and finish.
